The Deal:
The Lambert Group had a 2,358 sq. ft. retail space next to Title Nine that would soon become vacant, and they didn’t hesitate to turn to Fara Commercial Brokerage again to find a new tenant.
It proved to be a wise move. Fara Commercial Brokerage was already in negotiations with Five Guys Burgers & Fries by the time the current lease ended. In fact, the space was vacant for only two months before a signed agreement was in place.
Fara worked diligently to hit deadlines, and the tenant was able to pursue the permit process while the lease was being finalized. This allowed the restaurant to open a month earlier than a typical schedule. Fara notes that a good faith effort on both sides helped keep the process moving.
Five Guys Burgers & Fries, one of the fastest growing retail tenants in the country, is a national hamburger chain restaurant, with 625 stores in 40 states and Canada, including 16 locations in Illinois.
