816½ Church Street, Evanston, IL – Title Nine
The Deal:
After a year of trying to lease their building’s 1,971 sq. ft. retail space on their own, the Lambert Group turned to Fara Commercial Brokerage for help.
Serving as business advisors, Fara Commercial Brokerage helped the Lambert Group understand how renovations to the building’s façade would help attract a higher caliber tenant.
The Lambert Group took advantage of the City of Evanston’s façade renovation program to help fund the project. Fara provided expert opinion to the City Council to help secure the needed funding. The effort helped attract Title Nine, a national specialty women’s clothing retailer.
Although Title Nine had been looking to locate in Evanston, the company could not find the right space and terms. Fara Commercial Brokerage was able to convince them that, with the improved façade, 816 ½ Church Street was the place to be.
Title Nine has 16 stores across the nation in high-end urban areas. The Evanston store is the first in Illinois.
